Learning about nature and animals at the Tuscarora Wildlife Education Project!

Recently, residential living residents at The Village at Luther Ridge visited the Tuscarora Wildlife Education Project (TWEP) in Mercersburg, PA! Beginning in 1987 by a group of residents and educators within the Tuscarora School District, the TWEP has educated many school students, older adults and other visitors on the importance of understanding the environment, its animals, plants and natural resources. The TWEP offers hands-on learning experiences for its visitors and is equipped with a petting zoo, numerous displays and collections, as well as a classroom and laboratory area. In addition, the TWEP sits on 16 acres and includes many walking trails, too! Residents enjoyed observing the displays and learning about the various animals and artifacts at the TWEP!
