Life Enrichment Offers Shared Programs Through Zoom
Our life enrichment directors are tapping into each other’s creativity and strengths to offer a variety of virtual programs across all six of our life plan communities. Residents can participate in programs from chair yoga and strength training to devotions and brain games that may not have been offered at their own community. The cross-community programs provide residents a change of pace and the opportunity to interact with friends from other communities.

Zoom Chair Yoga
Our director of life enrichment will lead you in a seated Yoga class that includes basic traditional postures, flows and balance work. You may also choose to stand for this class.

Zoom Mat Stretch
This class is taught from the floor but can be modified for those wishing to stay seated in a chair. Light music is played with emphasis on breathing and demonstrating the best positions for your body to achieve a total body stretch. You will need either a mat or a chair.

Zoom Fit Medley
This is a high energy, low impact exercise class. This class mixes simple choreography and upbeat music for a total body workout, including a short warm-up, cardio and cool down. This is a standing class but can be modified to participate from a seated position.

Zoom Circuit Strength
Our director of life enrichment will lead you in a class to strengthen all of your major muscle groups. Repeated intervals of strength exercises are combined with short bursts of cardio and rest to give a total body workout. You will need appropriate hand weights or substitute kitchen items like soup cans or bottles of water and a chair.

Tasty Tips & Healthy Habits
Who couldn’t use come tips on how to prepare a meal, what might be a healthier option or how to handle your food safely? During this monthly series, members of the CURA culinary team will help you hone yours skills or maybe teach you something that your mother never taught you about cooking. Each session will culminate in sampling the featured food or recipe.
